Power Vac

Ship, Yacht, and Offshore HVAC
system cleaning needs in Houston and the surrounding Gulf Coast area since 1991.
The cleanliness of a
large ship or yacht's ventilation system is critical in maintaining good
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
The Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) has stated that indoor air is up to 70% more
contaminated than outdoor air.
Dirty systems do not operate close to
design specifications and will not control the moisture loads within the
ship or yacht, which effect comfort and the indoor environment. This is
along with the fact that dirty systems can build up irritating
contaminants. The interior furnishings become exposed and damaged
by these contaminants as they are blown out of the ventilation system.
The sea air provides a moist environment and ideal conditions for fungal
and bacteria growth. The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA)
recommends an annual assessment of these special condition facilities.
All ships and yachts
should have a regular ventilation system/air duct cleaning preventative
maintenance program.
The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA)
recommends a pre-commissioned clean of HVAC system and associated
ventilation ductwork to eliminate the construction dust and other debris
and particulates from the system before the ship or yacht is put into
operation.
